Hello My Horde,

Okay so I have a mild Cooking show obsession. So Instead of rating like I normally do. I will tell you a little bit about what I like about each show or show series really for some of these. Then I say what I got out of it. I’ll probably have a separate blog for each series eventually.

Note: Baking Drink, Specific cooking styles based shows will have their own posts. This is really for the competition ones.

Note Note: Guy and Gordon kind of falls in all categories so they are here! Lol.

Review:

Mainly drawn to the competition its self. Some of the shows under this umbrella if you will. Have everything from home Chefs to professional 5 star restaurant head chefs. I love the way they all come at the competitions. I also learn a lot from all of them.

Synopsis:

“Allez cuisine!” Every week, a cooking challenger chooses one Iron Chef, a chef with expertise in a single cooking style, from the series’ stable to face off against in a frenetic culinary battle featuring a secret theme ingredient chosen by the flamboyant host, known as Chairman Kaga. A panel of guest judges tastes the dishes to determine if the challenger has bested the Iron Chef.

Review:

I happened upon this one by accident and I really like it. The way people cand be so intuitive in repurposing leftovers to new fresh meals. I am surprised many a times by the way they can transform these meals.

Synopsis:

Home cooks compete to transform leftovers into delicious creations, finding ways to give old leftovers new life, all in the hopes of winning a $10,000 prize.

Review:

I love the competition aspect of this show and how many different strategies some of them have. Some do not even want the money but just for their skills to be acknowledged which I totally understand. Still does not stop me from flinching at the cost of some things, lol. The sabotages are hilarious sometimes.

Synopsis:

In this kitchen contest, home cooks bid on ingredients to create dishes that will impress celebrity guest judges — and win the cash left in their bank.

Hulu

Review:

Not going to lie he is the main reason I watch this show. I do enjoy the competitions and everything else all his shows bring and how tender he can be with his children’s show.

Synopsis:

In the US, chefs compete against one another. Gordon Ramsay hosts the intense cooking competition where the winner will be given the chance to be a head chef, but first must prove themselves.

Review:

Honestly I love all his shows, his personality always has me coming back for more. His show in the shopping center has me rolling and shocked at the same time. The way people overcome his obstacles are really intuitive.

Synopsis:

Going to the grocery store could be worth $20,000 for one chef in each episode of this competition series. Four chefs compete in three elimination challenges testing their culinary skills as they make their way through the store’s aisles.

Each challenge features a theme — such as using only items from frozen foods — and is judged by a rotating list of guest judges who determine which contestant is eliminated.

The chef who makes it through all three challenges then has two minutes to go through the aisles collecting items on a shopping list. Each item on the list is worth $2,000 and if the chef gets every item, the $20,000 grand prize is awarded. Popular Food Network personality Guy Fieri hosts the competition.

See you next week!!
