Hello My Horde,
I have some books I read that I want to share with you. Hopefully You will enjoy them as much as I did.,
Magids Series
Book one The Merlin Conspiracy
Review:
I will have it go down and noted I first read this in my late teens and been looking for it ever since. Finally re-found it. I love this book, the only reason it’s a four are a few things that kind of bugged me but not enough to diminish the book. Now that I’m an adult and a writer instead of a teen trying to escape I noticed a lot more this time around. This will stay on my reread shelf.
Synopsis:
When the Merlin of Blest dies, everyone thinks it’s a natural death. But Roddy and Grundo, two children traveling with the Royal Court, soon discover the truth. The Merlin’s replacement and other courtiers are scheming to steal the magic of Blest for their own purposes.
Roddy enlists the help of Nick, a boy from another world, and the three turn to their own impressive powers. The dangers are great, and if Roddy, Grundo, and Nick cannot stop the conspirators, the results will be more dreadful than they could possibly imagine.
The Queens Thief Series:
Book one The Thief
Review:
Honestly I loved the book, once I got through it. But it was kind of dry to me and I’m still not sure if I like the pacing or not. Besides that it was still good enough for me to go get the second book. I would have to be in the right mood to reread it.
Synopsis:
The king’s scholar, the magus, believes he knows the site of an ancient treasure. To attain it for his king, he needs a skillful thief, and he selects Gen from the king’s prison. The magus is interested only in the thief’s abilities. What Gen is interested in is anyone’s guess. Their journey toward the treasure is both dangerous and difficult, lightened only imperceptibly by the tales they tell of the old gods and goddesses.
Eon Series
Book one Eon: Dragon Eye Reborn
Review:
Obsessed, only reason it’s a four, is that I had a little issue with the characters and the way they acted or reacted to things sometimes. It just seemed weird or off. It was not the whole time which is why it’s a four, but enough for me to not make it a five……by the way I still haven’t gotten the second book back from my mother yet 😆.
Synopsis:
Sixteen-year-old Eon has a dream, and a mission. For years, he’s been studying sword-work and magic, toward one end. He and his master hope that he will be chosen as a Dragoneye-an apprentice to one of the twelve energy dragons of good fortune.
But Eon has a dangerous secret. He is actually Eona, a sixteen-year-old girl who has been masquerading as a twelve-year-old boy. Females are forbidden to use Dragon Magic; if anyone discovers she has been hiding in plain sight, her death is assured.
When Eon’s secret threatens to come to light, she and her allies are plunged into grave danger and a deadly struggle for the Imperial throne. Eon must find the strength and inner power to battle those who want to take her magic…and her life.
Someone else you should look up, here's the synopsis.
Six unforgettable kids — with no families, no homes — are running for their lives. Max Ride and her best friends have the ability to fly. And that’s just the beginning of their amazing powers. But they don’t know where they come from, who’s hunting them, why they are different from all other humans… and if they’re meant to save mankind — or destroy it.
