Here is an excerpt from one of my characters’ beginner magic class textbook.

Levels of Mana manipulation
Forms and ways to do mangic
Here is a brief listing of the levels

The way you can do magic depends on a few things:

How much mana you can handle
- We use to think that this variable is set at birth. But that theory was easily debunked. The reason for this is Because of the type of world that we live in.
- Since we are at the crux of a lot of realms, and their magic constantly overflows into ours. We found out that at any time that the amount of money someone can hold changes.
- Which is why everyone updates at their local government office once a year to evaluate their growth or the lack thereof.

Your level of mana manipulation
- People get this confused with how much mana you can handle
- But this had to do with your ability to use and manipulate that mana for what you need.
- Someone can handle a high level of mana in their body, but may only be able to manipulate it for what is considered level one or level two magic.
- Sometimes people can train and make this higher by training, but others sometimes cannot and cap out at a certain amount.

Your type of core
- This topic will only be briefly discussed in this section, It is a very lengthy Topic.
- Cores have expanded since basic knowledge of them just revolves around the elements.
- They are Categorized into these categories. Again this will be explained more in the future:

Those affected by their Godly Alliance.
- God Chosen
- God Aligned
- Etc.

Those not affected by Godly alliance, I will only list the name of their categories:
- Light (Also known as white)
- Dark (Also known as black)
- Blue
- Green
- Yellow
- Orange
- Red
- Purple
- Mixtures
- Metallic (Usually only seen in those Godly aligned but recently a few have popped up that are not.)

There are many forms and ways to do magic:

These do not determine the proficiency level in magic. Just how one uses the magic.
- Wandless
- With wands
- Wordless
- With words
Runes
- Be it:
  - Carved in an item, thing, etc.
  - Drawn
Mixtures
- I.e. Combination of any on this list
Manipulations:
- Definition: The use of an outside mana source instead of your own
  - Examples:
    - Item mana manipulating
      - I.e. Artifacts
    - Elemental mana manipulating
      - i.e water bending as opposed to summoning the water to you.
Tonics/Potions
Enchanting/Enhancing
- Which may or may not involve one of the above which is why it is not in the Mixtures Category.

This will be explained more in the future:

Level 1:
Bare minimum item mana manipulation
○ Ex. activating spells already in items like Artifacts Level 2:
Small pre or partially made rune spells at basic level chant spells
Small pre or a partial basic level chant spells
○ Ex. Lighting torch
Level 3:
Rune circle/ complex chant spells/ more Complex wand spells
Basic Wand spells/basic item mana manipulation
Level 4:
Advanced wand spells/Complex rune circles/very basic wordless mana manipulation
○ Can merge basic Mana manipulation
○ complex item mana manipulation
○ If dedicated enough can learn very small elemental manipulation
Level 5:
Wandless magic/more complex wordless spells/Advanced rune circles
Level 6:
Able to merge Mana Manipulation at complex levels.
Level 7:
Basic elemental manipulations but:
○ High level mana manipulation in:
■ runes
■ wandless
■ wordless
■ item
○ Easier time learning small elemental manipulation
Level 8:
Advanced Mana/Elemental Manipulation
Level 9:
Multiple Elemental manipulation
